- W2766703430 abstract "Abstract Liquid desiccant dehumidification/regeneration systems have drawn much attention due to their energy saving potentials. Assisted with the ultrasonic atomization technology, liquid desiccant regeneration system (i.e. UARS) could be enhanced significantly and promising performance has been reported experimentally. However, due to the exhausting experimental process, the existing studies were conducted within limited conditions while the status inside the regenerator chamber is still unclear. In this work, simulations were carried out with the commercial software to extend the performance study of UARS and reveal the conditions within the regenerator during the regeneration process. The modelling results were validated with the existing experimental data and good agreement was achieved. It was found that the effective desiccant regeneration process can be realized by the UARS with inlet temperature of the desiccant solution as low as 35℃. Furthermore, with the smaller diameters of the desiccant droplets adopted, the system regeneration performance was boosted substantially." @default.
