- W2768353263 abstract "The composite and nanocomposite are often used in several fields for different applications: aerospace, automotive, biomedical electronics. In particular, in these last years in aerospace sciences, the amount of used composites loaded with nanostructures is increased. One relevant application is the use of nanocarbon based composite as a coating to protect electrical circuits from possible electromagnetic waves interferences, which could damage the performance of the devices. There are many advantages to use polymeric matrix composites loaded with carbon nanostructures: very lightweight, adaptable to any surface, multifunctional material (high electric and thermal conductivity) excellent mechanical properties. The idea is to use lightweight and flexible properties of these materials to replace older heavier metal electromagnetic materials such as copper or iron. Nanocomposites have high performances and low cost per kilo/load. In this study we have analysed which is the behaviour of epoxy matrix (Epikote 828) filled with carbon nanostrutures, under ageing effects. We want to understand how long the materials can be considered still fully efficient. Obviously this process depends on the conditions in which the material is subjected and for how long To simulated the ageing effects, the samples will be subjected to corrosion / ageing processes by inserting the material into several aggressive solutions. We used two types of solution: KCl and H2SO 4 solution. The modification of nanocomposites electromagnetic behaviour was investigated by vector network analyser in the range 2–8 GHz." @default.
