In this paper, we report sodium, potassium free even precisely controlled NH 4 OH based etching solution for mc-Si. The structural and optical properties of the textured mc-Si have been investigated by FESEM, FTIR, optical image and UV-VIS-NIR spectroscopy. The height of the pyramid like textured were ranges from 1-5 µm. The FTIR spectra show no residual trace. The solar weighted average reflections (SWAR) was 16.6% in the spectral region 380-1000 nm and reduce further to 5.3% after SiNx deposition by PECVD process. Moreover, the textured surface shows no grain boundary delineation, which is the key issue of the mc-Si texturization for solar cell process technology." @default.
