That being the case, she decided to ask them to move the account from a branch in New York City to a branch closer to where they live. Because most of their business was conducted at an ATM, her husband wondered what difference the location of the account made. I'd like it to be where am, can see someone if have a problem with the account, was her answer. At the branch, the platform officer's response to moving the account was, Why do you want to do that? What our associate's wife really wanted to say at that point was, It's none of your business, she explained why it would be more convenient for her. I don't know if we can do that, was the officer's response. Fine, the woman said, then I'll take the account somewhere else. Motivated by this, the officer explained why the procedure was difficult. Each branch is measured by its profitability, he said, so it is very reluctant to let go of an account. Sensing he hadn't helped matters, the officer called up the couple's account on the computer and very efficiently took care of the missing Social Security number and linked the money market account to the bank's ATM system. …" @default.
