• W2777264773 abstract "Introduction: Periostin is a putative biomarker of T2 inflammatory response in asthma, with limited data in other chronic obstructive airway diseases (COAD), such as Asthma COPD Overlap (ACO). Objectives: We aimed to investigate the value of periostin among different phenotypes of COAD, its correlation with other T2 biomarkers and its role in predicting a T2 inflammatory pattern. Methods: Cross-sectional study of patients older than 40 years with a post-bronchodilator FEV1/FVC 200UI/mcl, asthma with a smoking exposure (SA)>20 packs-year, asthma patients with no smoking exposure (NSA) and COPD patients with BEo (COPD) 3% or BEo>300 UI/mcl. Periostin concentration in serum was determined by ELISA. Results: Sixty-five COPDEo, 44 SA, 89 COPD, and 94 NSA were included.
