The short-period GWs (20 min–2 h) are noticed both in the troposphere and in the mesosphere during the deep convection. During the convection, the large vertical velocities (>5 m/s) and significant variations in the momentum flux (∼3 m2/s2) are noticed in the troposphere and higher fluxes (∼45 m2/s2) are evidenced in the mesosphere.
