This paper suggests that knowledge of them and access to them declined after the fall of Baghdad to the Saljuqs in the 447/1055. Muḥammad Bāqir al-Majlisī(d. 1110/1699) was a key figure in the “recovery” of these collections. However, his use of the texts of these works in the section of his Biḥār al-anwār examined here bespeaks an agenda very differenct from that of Ibn Bābawayh." @default.
