- W2800625883 abstract "Objective To investigate the correlation between homocysteine level and early neurological deterioration in pa-tients (END) with ischemic stroke .Methods The baseline cilinical data ,imaging and laboratory test results in patients with ische-mic stroke were collected .The patients were divided into either END group or a non-END group according to occurrence of early neurological deterioration .The relationship between homocysteine level and early neurological deterioration was analyzed .Results A total 98 patients with ischemic stroke were enrolled ,including 23 patients in END group and 75 patients in non-END group .Sin-gle factor logistic regression analysis showed that C-reactive protein(t=2.352 ,P=0.014) ,fasting glucose(t=2.877 ,P=0.005) , as well as NIHSS score>15 (χ2 =14.111 ,P 15 mmol/L (χ2 =6.178 ,P=0.013) ,intra/extra ranial stenosis (χ2 =7.634 ,P=0.006) were significant different . Multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that NIHHS score >15 (odds ratio [OR] 6.726 ,95％ confidence interval [CI] 2.583-17.391 ,P=0.001);signs of early cerebral infarction on CT (OR=4.365 ,95％ CI=1.292-12.523 ,P=0.019);intra/extrac ranial stenosis (OR=2.443 ,95％ CI = 1.244-6.394 ,P= 0.030) and fasting glucose> 6.1 mmol/L (OR= 1.574 ,95％ CI =1.081-6.087 ,P=0.043) ,the level of Hcy >15 mmol/L(OR=3.542 ,95％ CI=1.295-9.461 ,P=0.023) were the independent risk factors for occurring END in patients with acute ischemic stroke .Conclusion The increased level of Hcy was the independent risk factors for occurring EDN in patients with acute ischemic stroke ." @default.
