They are prepared by feather keratin firstly combined with glycine and then metal ions. Using FT-IR, TG, CD, and SEM, the performance of the obtained complexes (FK-GlyM) for scavenging <mml:math xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML id=M2><mml:mrow><mml:msup><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mrow><mml:mi mathvariant=normal>O</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mn fontstyle=italic>2</mml:mn></mml:mrow></mml:msub></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mo>•</mml:mo><mml:mo>-</mml:mo></mml:mrow></mml:msup></mml:mrow></mml:math> is analysed and investigated. Importantly, the scavenging activity of FK-GlyCu is excellent in all FK-GlyM, and FK-GlyCu 60 has the most excellent anti-<mml:math xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML id=M3><mml:mrow><mml:msup><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mrow><mml:mi mathvariant=normal>O</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mn fontstyle=italic>2</mml:mn></mml:mrow></mml:msub></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mo>•</mml:mo><mml:mo>-</mml:mo></mml:mrow></mml:msup></mml:mrow></mml:math> activity in all FK-GlyC<mml:math xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML id=M4><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mrow><mml:mi mathvariant=normal>u</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mi>x</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:msub></mml:mrow></mml:math>, of which EC 50 and degree of simulation were, respectively, up to <mml:math xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML id=M5><mml:mn fontstyle=italic>4</mml:mn><mml:mo>.</mml:mo><mml:mn fontstyle=italic>5</mml:mn><mml:mo>×</mml:mo><mml:msup><mml:mrow><mml:mn fontstyle=italic>10</mml:mn></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mo>-</mml:mo><mml:mn fontstyle=italic>3</mml:mn></mml:mrow></mml:msup><mml:mo>±</mml:mo><mml:mn fontstyle=italic>0.0012</mml:mn></mml:math> μ mol/L and 911.1% compared with nature Cu, Zn-SOD. Finally, its mechanism was also discussed. In summary, this method about the simulation strategies will provide a novel idea for exploiting new-type biocompatible and highly reactive antioxidants." @default.
