- W2803962018 abstract "Abstract The Si distribution strongly influences the surface acidity and catalytic performance of SAPO-11 molecular sieve. In this paper, SAPO-11 with different Si distributions and surface acidities were prepared by regulating hydrogel synthesis temperature and a possible mechanism for the regulating effect was discussed. The higher hydrogel synthesis temperature inhibited the formation of layered intermediates in the initial gel, but accelerated the incorporation of Si into the framework and growth of SAPO-11 crystal in the preliminary crystallization. It could increase the concentration of Si islands, generating less Bronsted acid sites on the surface of final products. In contrast, more isolated Si species in framework of SAPO-11 formed when the hydrogel was prepared at a lower temperature, creating more Bronsted acid sites. Besides, the concentration of Bronsted acid sites on the external surface was maximized in the sample prepared at 20 °C of the hydrogel synthesis temperature. This work provides a simple route to regulate the Si distribution and surface acidity of SAPO-11 molecular sieve without extra agents." @default.
