- W2804161236 abstract "In 5th generation (5G) mobile communication systems, beamforming and massive antenna structure (MAS) are considered to provide high quality services. However, MAS with beamforming has challenges that need to be addressed such as interference from adjacent beams and antenna spacing. Since polarized antenna can avoid correlation between antennas by using orthogonal polarization, it can solve the interference and limited space issues. Based on these advantages of polarized antenna, we study the performance of 5G mobile communication systems. In our system, MAS with polarized antenna is applied for base station (BS). Moreover, user equipment (UE) also uses polarized antenna to reduce interference. The simulation results show MAS with polarized antenna can reduce interference caused by adjacent beams compared with non-polarized antenna structure. Especially, the cross polarization can efficiently improve the system capacity." @default.
