- W2804700019 abstract "The village farmers may possess perceptions on more seedlings application that applying more seedlings will ensure more yield of rice. That perception may lead them to use 4-7 seedlings in per cluster for rice production. The notion behind the application of more rice seedlings entails many folds cost, for instance, cost of resources consumed, and cost of seed. Land, labor, money, irrigation, and fertilizers include the resources cost. Seed and seedling raising cost, on the other hand, are overlooked. Therefore, effectiveness of more seedlings replication possesses justification to be studied. The common researchers are interested in measuring effectiveness of rice production in terms of yield, production function, input-output ratio, cost-benefit analysis, and so on. Yet, this study intends to focus on the replication of effectiveness of sowing one seedling following an organic farming method to measure spike number and spike length since no study is apparent on focusing one seedling application following organic rice farming method. Experiment method has been followed to produce organic rice seed in which rice grain had been kept as seed in ears to test the effect of that seed at the first stage. Seedlings have been raised with that experimented rice grain and were sown following one seedling approach to know the effect in spikes following organic farming approach. Data have been collected from the experimented plots of land from the second week of April to the first week of May 2016. The pikes were measured from the organic and non-organic rice fields. 391 spikes of 27 clusters from 20 plots of lands have been observed from the same area. The results show that the highest number of spikes produced in a cluster of one seedling is 34 having the highest length of few spikes is 12″ following organic farming method. The paired samples test has been followed by Statistical Package for Social Science to test the hypotheses. The test results show a positive relationship of one seed application approach and its length. The findings can help the farmers to save resources in farming rice along with ensuring environmental and soil benefits. Furthermore, the academics in agricultural research may get insights in shaping the production function theory holding single seedling approach as an independent variable. Available literature on applying one seed grain and organic rice were the noted limitation along with the measurement of yield in per acre. Upcoming study on the production of organic rice following one seedling application approach, however, may overcome the drawbacks of the current study. Aus. & NewZe J. Soci Busi. Env. Sus.
