- W2804924478 abstract "The Baikal-GVD is a cubic kilometer scale neutrino telescope which is deployed in Lake Baikal, that will perform neutrino astronomy studies. It consists of sub-arrays - clusters of about 300 optical modules each, that detect the Cherenkov light radiated by charged particles induced by neutrino interactions with the surrounding medium. The performance of the neutrino telescope relies on the precise timing and positioning calibration of the detector elements, continuous control and monitoring of a behavior of measuring systems, as well as environmental conditions which may affect light detection and event selection. This contribution describes the units which are used in GVD for calibration and monitoring purposes." @default.
