- W2805547727 abstract "The advent of polymer science opened new ways towards utilization of multipurpose materials with exceptional properties, but in a particular view they took an especial position in daily life. Among the fast growing field of polymers, polyaniline (PANI) discovery opened new horizons in the field. Conductive polymers like PANI have numerous usages from electrical industries to advanced biomedical applications. PANI has been synthesized through various methods like conventional oxidative polymerization, enzymatic routes, irradiation polymerization and electrochemical techniques. Based on the synthesis route, its conductivity can be altered from semi-conductors to highly conductive materials – that makes it a promising candidate for engineering applications. Moreover, various structures can be achieved from flower-like to nanoparticle when synthesizing PANI. In the form of composites, exhibited superior properties, as featured by graphene-incorporated PANI-based polymer composites. Depending on the final application, PANI can be synthesized differently in the form of composites with pre-desired structures. From biomedical application standpoint, e.g. as neural scaffolds, the appropriate conductivity of PANI is around the semi-conductors, while in neural electrodes used for recording and stimulating and the neural interfaces, the conductivity should be reached to the conductive material ranges." @default.
