In this paper, we will review the consequence of extending the signal bandwidth for the computation of 4D attributes, primarily the widely used repeatability measurement NRMS. The re-formulation of NRMS shows the sensitivity of the repeatability metric with regards to signal time-shift and signal bandwidth. Broadening the 4D signal bandwidth will result in an increase of the overall NRMS value for an equivalent seismic data with the same level on non-repeatable noise. To compare the quality of 4D seismic, regardless of bandwidth, we propose a new repeatability measure called CNRMS. The bandwidth Calibrated NRMS provides repeatability metric for any 4D seismic as it would be calculated with a reference signal bandwidth. In order to extend the 4D signal bandwidth without compromising the repeatability, we propose that up-going pressure wavefields extracted from dual-sensor streamer are used for base and monitor surveys. It ensures the HF repeatability and highest 4D resolution Keywords: broadbandPermalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/segam2015-5927745.1FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited by4D seismic co-processing pre-stack depth migration for scarce acquisition repeatability19 July 2022 | Journal of Petroleum Exploration and Production Technology, Vol. 13, No. 1Geological reservoir modeling and seismic reservoir monitoringReview Paper: Methods of measurement for 4D seismic post‐stack time shifts24 September 2020 | Geophysical Prospecting, Vol. 68, No. 9A time-lapse case study in West Africa: Integrating disciplines for a complete reservoir study and field managementBruce Webb, Salvatore Salerno, Catia Rizzetto, Jacopo Panizzardi, Marco Marchesini, Massimo Fervari, Christina De Draganich, Nazzarena Colombi, and Mirko Calderoni3 February 2020 | The Leading Edge, Vol. 39, No. 2The effect of deghosting on the 4D response: Usan field, NigeriaPiero Agnisola, Ross O’Driscoll, Philip G.
