- W2808405263 abstract "Recently, development of new photocatalyst materials have been interested, which can absorb visible light and have photocatalytic activities towards various reaction. In this study, we focused on ZnS as a new photocatalyst material. At first, we prepared ZnS by electrodeposition. We tried to synthesis ZnS with different electrolytic bathes in terms of additive composition and tried to decide the best bath condition which can precipitate ZnS. Compared the properties of samples, the bath containing both citrate acid and malonic acid was the best. According to the cyclic voltammogram, the reduction potential of the bath changed due to the addition of citrate acid. Secondly, we tried to make the band gap energy of ZnS narrow by doping Cu. We prepared two different bathes in terms of the concentration of Cu; the ratio of Cu to Zn was 2 mol% and 10 mol%, and the band gap energy of the samples were 1.9 eV and 1.8 eV. The band gap energy of the sample we prepared without Cu was 3.6 eV, so we assumed that Cu played the role of making band gap energy narrow. According to the XRD analysis, Cu was doped as metal in ZnS. These results implied that bands due to Cu were formed in the band gap of ZnS." @default.
