• W2810360086 abstract "Geospatial data can provide valuable information for hazards affected area and has been one of the most important data source for disaster mitigation. With more remote sensing sensors and geospatial data acquisition methods used, different agencies and organizations have acquired and generated geospatial information for disasters in variety formats and geographically stored in different systems. The distribution and heterogeneity of disaster related data archives has been the barrier for effective using them for disaster mitigation. To solve the problem of data distribution, a service-based geospatial system framework is introduced in this paper. Geospatial services are used to build a loosely coupled and service-oriented infrastructure for data integration and application between distributed data archives. The architecture introduced in the paper can be compatible with a variety of spatial data formats and current data management systems. It provides unified data query and access for multiple source geospatial data resources and Compatible with existing data management mechanism. The architecture is slackly-coupled and extensible. Two case studies are introduce to test the distributed geospatial data infrastructure." @default.
