Au sein de ces formations, une diversite de 163 especes vegetales appartenant a 140 genres et 53 familles ont ete recensees. Le stock de carbone estime varie entre 259,20 et 1098,61 t/ha. Une dynamique regressive de la vegetation de la foret est d’actualite sous l’emanation des activites comme l’agriculture, la chasse, les feux de vegetations, les constructions, la carbonisation, l’exploitation de bois, etc. Pour la survie des formations vegetales au Togo, il s’avere necessaire de preserver et de restaurer cette foret classee. Des programmes locaux de restauration, de reconstitution a base de Khaya spp., Daniella oliveri, Vitellaria paradoxa, Anogeissus leiocarpa et de gestion durable sont a initier et demeurent incontournable avec l’appui et le benefice des populations riveraines.Mots cles: diversite, dynamique d’occupation du sol, foret classee d’Atakpame, TogoEnglish Title: Atakpame classified forest: diversity, typology, carbon sequestration and human activitiesEnglish AbstractThis study assesses the woodlands diversity in Atakpame classified forest (FCA) of Togo and their potential carbon sequestration. The FCA, an important production source of diversified products and very useful for riparian populations survival is weakened. FCA is subject to various anthropogenic pressures that affect species sustainability. From the analysis of various environmental, anthropic, floristic and structural criteria, three types of land use are discriminated: mosaics fallow and fields, natural forests and plantations, agglomerations and bare grounds. Within these formations, a diversity of 163 plant species belonging to 140 genera and 53 families were identified. The estimated carbon stock varies between 259.20 and 1098.61 t/ha. A regressive dynamic of the forest vegetation is current under the emanation of activities such as agriculture, hunting, bush fires, construction, carbonization, logging, etc. For the survival of plant formations in Togo, it is necessary to preserve and restore this classified forest. Local restoration programs, based on Khaya spp., Daniella oliveri, Vitellaria paradoxa, Anogeissus leiocarpa and sustainable management are to be initiated and remain essential with the support and benefit of local populations.Keywords: diversity, land use dynamics, Atakpame classified forest, Togo" @default.
