• W2884292705 abstract "ÖZET Amaç: Düzce Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi 1. sınıf ve 6. sınıf öğrencilerinde internet bağımlılığı düzeyini belirlemek, sosyo-demografik özellikleri, depresyona yatkınlık durumu ve internet bağımlılığını etkileyen diğer etmenleri araştırmaktır. Gereç ve yöntemler: Kesitsel tipteki araştırma Düzce Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi dönem 1 ve 6 öğrencileri ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmada örneklem seçilmemiş evrenin tamamına ulaşılması hedeflenmiştir. Araştırmada öğrencilerden 39 sorudan oluşan sosyo-demografik özellikleri sorgulayan soruları, 21 kategoriden oluşan Beck Depresyon Ölçeğ’ini (BDÖ) ve 12 sorudan oluşan Young İnternet Bağımlılık Testi Kısa Formu’nu (YİBT-KF) cevaplandırmaları istenmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %66,3’ü 1. sınıftan, %33,7’si 6. sınıftandır. Öğrencilerin %60,7’si kadın, %37,2’si erkektir. Günlük internet kullanım süresine göre öğrencilerin %6.6’sı 1 saatten az, %28.1’i 1-2 saat, %44.9’u 3-4 saat, %12.2’si 5-6 saat, %8.2’si 7 saatten fazla kullanmaktadır. İnterneti en fazla kullanım amacı olarak iletişim ve eğlence şeklinde belirtmişlerdir. En fazla kullanılan sosyal ağ whatsapp’tır. Derslerinde başarısız olanlar ve depresyona yatkınlığı olanlarda YİBT-KF puan ortalaması istatistiksel anlamlı olarak yüksektir. Sonuç: BDÖ’ye göre yaşı küçük olanlar, dersleri iyi olanlar depresyona yatkın bulunmuştur. Depresyona yatkın olanlarda internet bağımlılığı puanı daha yüksektir. Anahtar kelimeler : İnternet; Öğrenciler; Üniversiteler; Depresyon; Fakülte ABSTRACT Objective: To investigate the level of internet addiction, sociodemographic characteristics, susceptibility to depression and other factors affecting internet addiction in first and sixth grades of Düzce University Medical faculty. Materials and Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted with the students atthe first and sixth grades of Düzce University Medical Faculty. It was aimed to reach all of the universe in which the sample was not selected in the research. In the study, students were asked to answer the questions that was formed 39 questionsabout sociodemographic characteristics, 21 categories about Beck Depression Scale and 12 questions about Young Internet Addiction Test Short Form (YİAT-SF). Results: 66.3% of the students who participated in the survey were in the first class, 33.7% in the sixth class. 60.7% of the students are female, 37.2% are male. According to daily using internet 6.6% of students use internet less than 1 hour, 28.1% use 1-2 hours, 44.9% use 3-4 hours, 12.2% use 5-6 hours and 8.2% use more than 7 hours. They pointed out the majör purpose of internet use is communication and entertainment. The most used social network is WhatsApp. Those who fail in their lessons and those who are predisposed to depression have a statistically significant higher YİAT-SF point average. Conclusion: According to the Beck Depression Inventory, those who are younger, those with good lessons are predisposed to depression.
