The purpose of this review is to introduce the molecular and biochemical basis of defense mechanisms associated with two of those adaptations: sickle-cell trait and Glucose-6-phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency (G6PD). The first one is a hemoglobinopathy while the second one is the most frequent enzymopathy present in humans. Les populations contracter le paludisme ont développé des mécanismes de défense génétique afin de se prémunir contre les complications les plus dangereuses de cette maladie. Ces mécanismes ont été associés du point de vue du processus de co-adaptation avec certaines maladies génétiques largement présentes chez l’homme comme la drépanocytose, le trait drépanocytaire et le déficit en glucose-6-phosphate déshydrogénase (G6PD). Biochimiquement, les mutations polymorphes au niveau des érythrocytes ont été largement étudiées, mais il n’y a pas de déclaration claire des mécanismes utilisés pour la résistance à l’agent causal du paludisme. Le but de cette revue est d’introduire les bases moléculaires et biochimiques des mécanismes de défense associés à deux de ces adaptations: le trait drépanocytaire et le déficit en glucose-6-phosphate déshydrogénase (G6PD). Le premier est une hémoglobinopathie tandis que le second est l’enzymopathie la plus fréquente chez l’homme." @default.
