- W2889524990 abstract "The LED technology is very widespread in home and commercial applications with a particular interest for the lighting aims. Nowadays, there is an increasing effort in developing efficient LED lamps and, consequently, it is useful the improvement of the power quality on their supply lines. Regarding the design and optimization of a lighting system, it would be suitable to find an equivalent PSpice circuit for the first harmonic of the current absorbed by the LED lamps. In this perspective, it is necessary to measure the active and reactive power absorbed by the lamps in order to analyze their components. In this work, five different LED lamps of various manufactures have been tested, under variable voltage on the main, by using a power analyzer. From the analysis of the measurements, two circuit types have been used for simulation purpose with PSpice. The first one is obtained by the hypothesis of a constant fitting of the data of the real and imaginary components of the current while the second circuit is obtained by a linear fitting. The comparison among the simulation runs performed by PSpice and the measurements has highlighted that a constant fitting provides poor results, while the linear one provides a sufficient accurate estimation of the first harmonic current as function of the voltage on the main." @default.
