- W2890563847 abstract "Nowadays, due to transistors miniaturization and advancement in CMOS VLSI Design Technology, Engineers and Scientist are adding more and more functionality to a device by increasing component density in a very small chip area. Functions are executed at a very high-speed transistor switching, resulting in increase of power dissipation and consumption. To overcome such problems, new technologies have to be developed and Reversible Logic Technology (RLT) is one such new paradigm, which has ideally zero power dissipation. In this paper, reversible logic-based flip-flops design methodology has been developed to remove earlier problems such as the use of various types of Reversible Gates for different logical operations, generation of complimented and un-complimented flip-flop output, and fanout. In this paper, Reversible Logic-based SR Latch, Clocked SR, D, T, and JK Flip-Flop (FF) have been designed using only 3 × 3 Dwivedi-Rao Gate 4 (DRG4) as AND, NAND, and conventional NOT gate, which is the only gate from a conventional family qualifying for the Reversible Logic. The novelty of the proposed design methodology is that, first, design of SR latch is done and then clocked SR flip-flop was implemented on this, followed by D, T, and JK flip-flop and that too using DRG4 and NOT gate only. The results obtained are verified using VHDL simulation and mathematical analysis, which proves the proposed design methodology." @default.
