- W2890711010 abstract "The amplified voltammetric sensor, a novel approach was used for the determination of two anticancer drugs (doxorubicin and 5-fluorouracil). The novel sensor was fabricated by surface amplification of carbon paste electrode (CPE) with 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (EMITFB) and CuO decorated on single wall carbon nanotubes (CuO-SWCNTs). The EMITFB/CuO-SWCNTs/CPE creates a dramatic improvement in oxidation reaction of doxorubicin in aqueous solution. The main advantages of EMITFB/CuO-SWCNTs/CPE compared with a simple sensor are an increase of about × 3.5 in current and a decrease of about 60 mV in the oxidation potential of doxorubicin. Doxorubicin and 5-fluorouracil can be oxidized at potentials of approximately 680 and 970 mV on EMITFB/CuO-SWCNTs/CPE surface that may be sufficient for the simultaneous determination of drugs in a mixture. Doxorubicin and 5-fluorouracil were observed at detection limits of 6.0 nM and 0.4 μM, respectively, on EMITFB/CuO-SWCNTs/CPE surface. EMITFB/CuO-SWCNTs/CPE was efficiently used in the detection of doxorubicin in injection and serum samples." @default.
