On dispose depuis peu d’elements de reponse majeurs : 1/les anomalies du metabolisme energetique paternel (diabete, obesite) provoquent des modifications similaires du phenotype metabolique dans la premiere generation (effet intergenerationnel) ; 2/ces modifications du phenotype sont transmissibles sur plusieurs generations (effet transgenerationnel) ; 3/l’obesite ou le diabete paternel modifie l’epigenome (structure de la chromatine, methylation de l’ADN, ARN non codants) du spermatozoide ; 4/certains petits ARN spermatiques (tARN fragmentes ; miARN) sont les vecteurs de la transmission paternelle du risque d’intolerance glucidique chez les descendants.
