In this study, Li2MoO4@C has been prepared by oxalic acid-assisted sol–gel method followed by carbon coating. Thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, scan electron microscopy and transmission electron microscope were employed to characterize its composition, structure and morphology. Electrochemical measurements show that the porous Li2MoO4@C composite displays excellent electrochemical performances. The initial lithiation and delithiation specific capacity was 983 mAh g−1 and 653 mAh g−1 at current density of 100 mA g−1, respectively. The electrode delivers 504 mAh g−1 delithiation capacities even though undergoing 150 cycles test." @default.
