- W2890938205 abstract "Magnetorheological fluid (MRF) actuation system utilizes MR fluids as the energy transmission medium and implements MRF valving system with no moving parts to control the motion of an output cylinder shaft. The MRF actuation system has both features of hydraulic system and MRF system with altering rheological properties by the application of a magnetic field. Since The dynamic of MRF system is highly nonlinear, the system is not easy to be controlled. In this paper, a novel control strategy for MRF actuation system is presented base on the model of the MRF valve and hydraulic system. The controller consists of two parts: one is an adaptive robust motion control with compensating parametric uncertainties and attenuating uncertain nonlinearities from modeling error and disturbances; and the other is the flow distribution of MRF valves which make sure the system work in appropriate mode fulfilling motion requirements. The simulation of MRF actuation system with proposed control strategy following the desired bi-directional motion has been investigated. The results indicate the effectiveness of the proposed controller." @default.
