- W2890959544 abstract "After an investigative point of view of different scales (macro, meso and micro) and a solid conceptual base from diverse bibliographic sources; issues such as the conurbation and the periphery of the city, as well as unplanned growth and self-construction, addresses to the immense relevance of the western border of Bogota, mainly, is necessary to propose interventions in the structure of mobility and recreation such as parks, wetlands and green areas of the sector. Thus, it seeks to respond to the great demand for transport required by the population of this section of the city and the adjacent towns and municipalities. Then, a possible implementation and intervention from an urban perspective is also sought in the localities of Bosa, Fontibon, Engativa, Suba and Kennedy, understanding them as the western zone of Bogota, which owns most of the city’s population but with few or inadequate connections with the centralities and productive areas of the city. On the other hand, it is relevant to know that after studying the history of the centralities of the city, each of them were independent municipalities that had their own nuclei of economic importance, thus generating growth, expansion and its subsequent conurbation or merger with Bogota. For this reason, since it is based on several municipalities, Bogota is considered a polycentric city, capable of responding to the needs of its inhabitants and to the different dynamics that occur in its different scales: from the nucleus (microzone), the city and the regional scale that, in this case, is called a micro-region (the Sabana de Bogota. Furthermore, given that the area of study is so large, we opted for an approach to a smaller scale, thus focusing the analysis specifically on the locality of Kennedy, the densest population locality in the city. That means that it is an area with great demand for public services, adequate mobility infrastructure and areas of great economic and administrative importance. In addition, even though Kennedy is one of the main localities, has one of the poorest and most dangerous Zonal Planning Units (UPZ) in Bogota, called Patio Bonito. For that reason, to understand the project better, we must understand how the city works first, how it has been formed throughout years, but also how it is currently divided. Then, enter into a smaller scale, in the district of Kennedy, understand it and propose a project that allows to improve the relationship of the district with the rest of the city. Finally, after understand the UPZ Patio Bonito (micro-scale), where users live in inadequate housing, with lack of decent public space, green areas and parks, facilities and generating the city to expand every day potentializing the conurbation with other cities, we must create a true project of urban renewal to improve the quality of life of the people, the reduction of social problems and the compactness of the city with the improvement of housing, central and public places and generating a green network from the recovery of the river round and it waterways." @default.
