- W2891393766 abstract "Stability analysis for grain yield and its components of advanced breeding lines in mungbean (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek.)” was carried out at Pulses Research Unit, Dr.PDKV, Akola, with the objective to detect suitable genotype for different environments. The study includes 16 genotypes of mungbean collected from Pulses Research Unit, Dr.PDKV, Akola. Field experiment was conducted in Randomised Block Design with three replication in three environments comprising sowing dates viz., i) 7 June, ii) 22 June, iii) 7 July, 2016. The data from each of these three environments was collected on days to 50 percent flowering, days to maturity, plant height at maturity (cm), primary branches per plant, number of clusters per plant, number of pods per cluster, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, pod length, 100 seed weight (g), seed yield per plant (g), seed yield per plot (g), harvest index and seed yield per ha. (g).Genotypes x Environment interaction were detected for the character plant height at maturity. The magnitude of linear component was more for the characters viz., days to maturity, plant height at maturity, number of cluster per plant, number of pods per plant, seed yield per plant and harvest index. While non linear component was of higher magnitude for days to 50% flowering, number of primary branches per plant, number of pod per cluster, number of seeds per pod, seed yield per plot and seed yield per ha. The genotype AKM-10-21 was found suitable for earliness in flowering having average stability, whereas the genotypes AKM-12-04, AKM-12-10, AKM-12-22 recorded below average stability and AKM-10-5, AKM-12-06 and AKM-12-28 recorded above average stability.The genotypes AKM-10-5, AKM-10-21, AKM-12-04, AKM-12-06, AKM-12-15 and AKM-12-22 showed earliness in maturity and average stability, whereas as AKM-12-28 showed above average stability.The genotypes AKM-10-5, AKM-10-11, AKM-12-12, AKM-12-22 and AKM-12-24 showed wider adaptability for the plant height (cm) over all environments, whereas the genotypes AKM-12-14, AKM-12-28 and BM 2003-2 (ch) recorded below average stability and AKM-12-10 and PKV AKM-4 (ch) recorded above average stability.For primary branches per plant, among all the genotypes, AKM-12-06 and PKV AKM-4 (ch) showed wider adaptability.
