- W2891453375 abstract "This study developed a smart medical drainage control system based on concepts of Internet of Thing and smart healthcare. The goal was to drain fluids from a patient's body in a precisely controlled manner. This research was proceeded in three phases, including prototype developed phase, accuracy calibrated phase and wireless control phase. In order to improve the accuracy of flow control, this study constructed a prediction model by using support vector regression (SVR) which predicts the rate of fluid flow and adjust the volume accordingly. We looked for an optimal set of parameters with grid algorithm in order to automatically control the flow velocities properly.The results showed that the best predicted time window was every 3 minutes. It could help medical staff to forecast the flow velocity accurately in next 3 minutes. In the performance, our smart drainage device could maintain the low variation of flow velocity, and help nurses to control the drainage operation accurately." @default.
