- W2891530157 abstract "Abstract In this work, the catalytic efficiency of zero valent iron (ZVI) impregnated on Fe2(MoO4)3 spinal towards rapid hydrogen production from NaBH4 have been studied. Experiments were carried out at 243–373 K using 5.29 mM aqueous solution. The catalytic activity was evaluated in comparing with the parent ferric molybdate. Although the parent ferric molybdate itself showed good synergistic catalytic activity, the impregnation of ZVI enhanced, obviously, the hydrolysis activities. The prepared catalysts were characterized by TEM, EDX, XRD, nitrogen adsorption-desorption at 77 K, and VSM. The reaction kinetics showed that the hydrolysis using ZVI catalyst followed zero order. A hydrogen generation rate of 1057 mL min−1 g−1 (Fe) at 373 K was achieved. Also, the activation energy of the reaction that calculated from the Arrhenius plot was 11.24 kJ mol−1, which made it a noteworthy result as compared to other catalysts reported earlier." @default.
