- W2891648115 abstract "Gamification is a trending means to make softwares more motivating, engaging and creating an immersive experience for the users. It is so because its focus is on actuating the human parameters which help in providing intuitive and natural flow in the experiences. It has been practically observed that meaningful gamification indeed has high impact in reducing work stress and improving engagement. This work is aimed at providing a framework which could be a basis for design and evaluation of gamified applications. Several published works on gamification were employed to determine which of them actually best explain gamified applications, their design and evaluation. Based on the analysis of principles providing the most extensive handling of issues in gamification and the factor analysis of the explanations, a fresh set of heuristics were derived. Two different experiments, one involving non-professional users and the other involving professionals in user experience were done, and the results aggregate that these heuristics can be considered necessary conditions for design and evaluation of gamified applications." @default.
