The TG-DSC suggests select 600 °C as calcination temperature. The X-ray diffraction pattern confirms the perovskite structure of BFO. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) image shows that the particle size of BFO lies between 100 and 150 nm. UV–Vis diffuse reflectance spectra shows the band gap energy of the BFO samples is less than 2.2 eV. In addition, methyl orange was chosen as a dye water pollution to evaluate its degradation by as-synthesized BFO particles under visible light irradiation. The photocatalysis results reveal that the degradation efficiency of 97.06% to methyl orange occurred with BFO particles prepared with NH3·H2O/NH4HCO3 equal to 1:1 under visible light irradiation." @default.
