- W2893082492 abstract "Abstract We propose and study a magnetic field and temperature sensor based on a D-shaped photonic crystal fiber using surface plasmon resonance and directional resonance coupling methods. Magnetic fluid is deposited on a flat surface of the D-shaped PCF, and used to measure magnetic field. Ethanol is inserted into a defective cavity in the D-shaped PCF, and used to be used to measure temperature. The simulation result showed that a magnetic field measurement at 30 Oe∼270 Oe and a temperature measurement at 5 °C∼65 °C can be measured independently in two different optical wavelength channels. Better linearity can be achieved. A magnetic field sensitivity of about 0.21 nm/Oe and a temperature sensitivity of about −1.25 nm/°C can be exhibited. Such novel sensing structure has potential application in dual parameter measurements." @default.
