- W2894844289 abstract "ABSTRACT Energy is an essential factor for life quality, prosperity and strategically power. In the context of climate change and projected increase of population and consumption of energy, renewable energy has to be doubled by optimization techniques for energy production. This is even more critical for arid and semiarid areas, where peak load frequency and magnitude is generating a huge pressure on power systems. Anthropogenic activities are part of this pressure. Article is presenting tests, with real data, for solutions of two bi-criteria models (Minimax and Index) developed during our research and used for shaving the peak load of energy. Both models aim to shave the peak load of energy by minimizing fluctuation of energy and maximizing economic performance of producer. Real data from Romanian energy market are used. They correspond to the time period between 10th of November 2007 (22:18:00) and 4th of December 2015 (23:52:55). Validated data (Box&Whisker and Grubbs tests) are used to generate the input for our algorithms. Solution is compared with real consumption and production curve from 4th of December 2015. Results are divided in 3 categories (weak, good and excellent) and analyzed. Charts plotted, using R software, for good and excellent results prove that both algorithms manage to shave the peak load.
