- W2894962568 abstract "This paper studies the synthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles by high energy ball milling process and the effect of water based TiO2 nanofluid as coolant on the tool and chip temperature during machining of AISI 316 stainless steel under spray impingement cooling environment. TiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized by means of a high energy ball mill. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) micrographs and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis were carried out to obtain the morphology of the TiO2 powder. The particle size in TiO2 powder was found out to be 20 nm on an average. Water based TiO2 nanofluid at different nanoparticle concentrations were prepared by two step method. During turning experiments of the steel sample at nanofluid impingement environment using 0.03% concentrated nanofluid it was found out that the tool temperature and the chip temperature were found to be minimum." @default.
