- W2895291336 abstract "High speed counter current chromatography (HSCCC) utilizes a liquid stationary-phase and, hence, does not suffer from irretrievable adsorption associated with conventional chromatography procedures. It is a good alternative for such techniques because of its speedier and economically viable separation, ease of scaling-up, ability for coupling with other analytical instruments for establishing on-line hyphenated systems, elevated sample-load capacity, truncated solvent consumption, absence of irretrievable sample adsorption, and availability of a diverse range of solvent-systems and elution modes. However, since HSCCC theoretically possess less plates in comparison to the conventional techniques, it is pertinent to employ such working conditions which mask this limitation and result in optimum performance of this emerging technique. The selection of an appropriate solvent-system is one of the utmost important and crucial step which dictates the efficiency and speed of the separation process. Providentially, this process is aided by the immensely hefty pool of plausible combinations because of HSCCC’s biphasic solvent-system. Moreover, by utilizing different elution modes, the efficacy and speed of separation can be greatly enhanced. This piece of writing tries to compile literature pertaining to advances in the development and selection of suitable solvent-systems and elution modes for high-efficiency HSCCC." @default.
