Helicopters are more susceptible to laser interference due to spending more time at lower altitudes and slower speeds. On the other hand, helicopters can remain in the area in order to direct police to the source of the (very visible) beam.Laser protective eyewear, to reduce the intensity of light, may be appropriate for pilots flying into a known or suspected laser area.
