- W2895849271 abstract "Plant growth and associated changes depend on secondary metabolic products. These metabolic processes are regulated by the daily biological rhythms known as circadian rhythms based on their control of gene expression. Organisms have many genes influenced by circadian rhythms and these genes are intertwined in a complex manner to control physiological phenomena. Thus, in many cases, it is important to pay attention to the diurnal rhythm when precisely measuring or controlling the physiology or metabolism of plants. In addition, global gene expression analysis, called transcriptome analysis, is effective for analysis of genes influenced by circadian rhythms. In recent years, the costs of transcriptome analysis using next-generation sequencers have also declined, and such analysis is being carried out on many plants. Information on global gene expression in these various species deepens the understanding of physiological phenomena. Understanding these phenomena correctly requires paying attention to circadian rhythms. Development of efficient plant cultivation methods based on control theory is underway since it is possible to control plant growth by combining information on circadian rhythms and physiological phenomena." @default.
