The Laser Transit Anemometer (LTA), also referred to as Laser Two-Focus Velocimeter (L2F), was developed to address applications beyond the capabilities of commercially available Laser Doppler Anemometers (LDA). The latest improvements in L2F technology, through the incorporation of optical fibers, add to the versatility of this established technique. Fiber optics make the design of new, smaller L2F probes possible.
