- W2896065171 abstract "In many researches, mass nanosensors have been modeled as a cantilever nanobeam in presence of nonlocal elasticity that produces paradoxical results so that the nanostructure shows hardening behavior in the first mode of vibration when the differential form of nonlocal elasticity is assumed. Accordingly, in this study, vibration behavior of carbon nanotube-based mass nanosensor resting on nonlocal elastic foundation is investigated through an efficient finite element model including the integral form of nonlocal elasticity. Also, the influences of mass value, elastic foundation constant, mass position and nonlocal parameter on the first two natural frequencies are examined. The results reveal that, employing integral nonlocal elasticity obviates the paradoxes so that increasing nonlocal parameter reduces the frequency shift of mass nanosensor in both first and second modes. Also, applying nonlocality on elastic foundation leads to considerable changes and reduction in frequency shift in comparison to those obtained from the local elastic foundation assumption." @default.
