- W2896469239 abstract "Summary In this paper, the H ∞ filtering problem for linear systems with polytopic uncertainties is reinvestigated. The continuous‐time case and the discrete‐time case are both considered. In contrast to the existing approaches presented in most literature, this paper transfers the concerned regular system model into a descriptor representation such that the descriptor formulations in the case of H ∞ filtering design can be employed. The purpose of this paper is to design a filter such that the filtering error system is asymptotically stable with a prescribed H ∞ performance level. By introducing a new structure conducted by a series of slack matrix variables, meanwhile, sufficient conditions for H ∞ filter design are obtained in a less conservative linear matrix inequality manner. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate effectiveness of the proposed approach." @default.
