- W2896725243 abstract "In the present article, fundamental study is described concerning laser-matter interaction in laser welding of heavy sections up to 20mm in thickness and ultra-thin foils of 10μm in thickness by using CO2, Nd:YAG and Yb single mode fiber lasers mainly from experimental point of views. The fundamental study contains keyhole behavior and the characterization of laser-induced plume. It is shown that the laser-matter interaction depends on laser (wavelength, power density, spot size etc), gas species in the atmosphere and material to be welded.
