- W2896899102 abstract "To date, insecticides as bait formulations become more important, since they allow reducing environmental risks from the use of insecticides and delaying the resistance development in field populations of insects. This study was conducted to assess the insecticidal efficacy of fly baits containing neonicotinoid acetamiprid and phenylpyrazole fipronil against the house fly (Musca domestica L.) under field conditions. Three insecticidal baits - Muhnet A (acetamiprid 1.5%), Muhnet F (fipronil 0.15%), and Muhnet FA (acetamiprid 0.15% plus fipronil 0.015%) - designed by authors and the commercial formulation Agita (thiamethoxam 10%) were tested in cattle-breeding facilities. The insecticidal efficacy of baits containing only one active ingredient fipronil or acetamiprid was 93.7% and 94.3%, respectively, on the first day after treatment. The binary bait containing a mixture of these active substances had 92% of insecticidal efficacy. Renovation of the flies’ density in the facilities was observed on the 8th day after the baits application. Further field trials of the designed baits are required while simultaneously using them with larvicidal formulations in order to prolong the insecticidal effect." @default.
