- W2897484296 abstract "The osteochondritis dissecans is formed by the detachment of cartilaginous flap after osteochondrosis. It is reported a case of Border Collie dog that, after manifestation of clinical signs of pain and lameness, was diagnosed with osteochondrosis through the radiographic exam of the right escapulohumeral joint. In the surgical treatment, the caudal access was made to the escapulohumeral joint and arthrotomy, where it was identified the occurrence of osteochondritis dissecans; it was taken to osteochondroplasty, removing cartilaginous fragment, curettage and drilling directioned to the diaphysis. In the immediate post-op period, methadone, dipyrone, ceftriaxone and meloxicam were administered in single doses. In a long term, it was prescribed cephalexin, omeprazole, carprofen, tramadol hydrochloride, dipyrone and collagen UC II, as well as absolute rest. In the follow up after 10 days, the dog does not exhibit anyone clinical signs." @default.
