- W2897503709 abstract "This paper presents an output feedback control of sensorless photovoltaic systems with maximum power point tracking (MPPT). PV arrays must be placed in a site that guarantees good solar irradiation. However, in most cases, such a site is at great distance from the control unit so that the Photovoltaic Generator voltage and current measurements become difficult. To overcome this issue, a high gain observer design is developed. The system consists of a Photovoltaic Generator (PVG) which supplies a DC centrifugal pump via a DC-DC boost converter, the later is connected to the PVG by a long PV cable. Using only voltage and current measurements in the converter side of the cable, the observer provides estimates of PVG voltage and current. To meet the MPPT objective, the controller is synthesized using the Backstepping method. To take into account the PV cable effect on the MPPT efficiency, the cable equivalent electrical circuit is involved in the system model. The output feedback control performances are formally analyzed and illustrated by simulation." @default.
