- W2897538752 abstract "Ternary copper-bismuth-sulphide (CBS) semiconducting nanocrystals (NCs), with optimal band gap values of ∼1.5 eV and optical absorption coefficient α > 104 cm−1, have been investigated in recent years as an absorber material for thin film solar cells. We report on a facile hot injection method to synthesize phase-pure CBS NCs of Cu3BiS3 in the form of nanospheres and nanoflowers. The precursor, capping ligands, and reaction temperature play a key role in stabilizing the structural phase and morphology of the synthesized nanocrystals. The resultant nanocrystals films show distinct photo-response characteristics, which makes them attractive as absorber materials for use in thin film solar cells." @default.
