Specifically, it directly introduces buoyancy effects in the elliptic relaxation equation. The new formulation results in an additional length scale that produces a coupled set of Helmholtz equations. The study then extends the new technique to Reynolds scalar fluxes. Furthermore, it examines the budgets of the different terms of their transport equations near the wall and systematically derives the relevant boundary conditions.
