- W2897851867 abstract "The work presented in this article concerns the study and optimization of a PV water pumping system which comprises a PV generator, a DC/DC buck-boost converter and direct current motor (DCM) coupled to a centrifugal pump. The optimization problem consists in maximizing the daily pumped water quantity via the optimization of the motor efficiency for every operating point. This paper presents a sliding mode (SM) control technique associated with a DC/DC buck-boost converter to transfer the maximum power delivered by the photovoltaic (PV) generator. Each component is studied and analyzed to simulate the global system in MATLAB/ SIMULINK. The discussions of the various results conclude that the optimization with the SM can give stable tracking of maximum power, a quick response, a good performance and reduce the transient compared to the direct coupling." @default.
