- W2898099232 abstract "In this work, the deterioration processes of hardened cement pastes and mortars exposed to continuous heating were investigated. The composition evolution was in situ detected using high temperature XRD. The mass loss and composition changes were investigated by thermal analysis (TG-DSC). The deformation was in situ monitored using dilatometry. The defects of mortars suffered from different temperature were detected by X-ray CT. What’s more, effects of water to cement ratio, fly ash content, ground granulated blast-furnace slag content and volume fraction of sand on the performance of hardened cement pastes and mortars exposed to continuous heating were investigated systematically. The results show that the cracking temperature of cement pastes suffered from high temperature decreases with water to cement ratio increasing. The addition of fly ash has no significant effect on the deformation of hardened cement pastes exposed to continuous heating. The addition of ground granulated blast-furnace slag improves the cracking temperature of cement paste. The length of mortar suffered from high temperature converts to expansion from shrinkage with the volume content of sand increasing from 0% to 40%.
