- W2898511344 abstract "Tourism branding has an impact on a rural community’s economic development and overall wellbeing, so it should be designed carefully. This study proposes the concept of back-to-trueself as an identity element of rural tourism and presents a branding model which is illustrated by the case of ‘Honest-to-Goodness’ brand of the State of Indiana in the United States. The study is contextualized in the growing trends of urbanization and the resultant concerns of its effect on quality of life. The proposed model suggests that rural communities branded with the back-to-trueself element meets the need for urban residents to relieve self-presentational concern and at the same time pursue an authentic way of life. The model takes into consideration the primary motivation of rural tourists, rural community’s attractiveness to urban residents, and their loyalty to the destination brand. Cette etude propose le concept du retour a la vraie nature comme un element identitaire du tourisme rural et presente un modele de marque qui est illustre par le cas de la marque Honest-to Goodness dans l'Etat de l'Indiana, aux Etats-Unis. L'etude est mise en contexte dans les tendances croissantes d'urbanisation et les preoccupations resultant de ses effets sur la qualite de vie. Le modele propose suggere que les communautes rurales se sont enlignees avec un retour a la vraie nature des elements qui repondent aux besoins des residents urbains pour soulager des preoccupations de presentations personnelles et en meme-temps poursuivre un style de vie authentique. Le modele prend en consideration la motivation originale des touristes ruraux, l'attrait des residents urbains envers les communautes rurales et leur loyaute pour une marque de destination." @default.
